soaML vs SOMF
« on: June 05, 2009, 11:15:51 pm »
Hi

The latest version of EA (7.5 #845) has support for both soaML (Service Oriented Architecture Modeling Language) and SOMF (Service Oriented Modeling Framework).
Does anybody know how these two standards relate to each other?
I can't find any information regarding SOMF in the EA documentation (or elsewhere on the web), and very limited information regarding soaML, are there any more documentation/articles/tutorials... somewhere?

Thanks,
Erik Haug

SOAML is an OMG standard (www.omg.org/docs/ad/08-08-04.pdf )contributed to strongly by CBDI and using their SAE UML Profile for SOA.

The SOMF (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Service-oriented_modeling) is by Michael Bell (in book titled Service Oriented Modeling - Service Analysis, Design and Architecture).
