Connector Association with Blocks
« on: September 30, 2009, 12:51:26 am »
In the SysML standard, the standard illustrates how you can create an association from a Block to a Connector (not on the ends of the Connector, but from the Block to the Connector line object), as illustrated on pages 58, 59, and 73 of the standard. However, I have been unable to figure out how to create such an association in Rhapsody.

Can anyone provide instructions?

As shown in the model, I should be able to create a Connector relationship between two Blocks, and then associate a Block to that connector to represent the actual Block that realizes the connector. In the examples, a Connector relationship is created to illustrate a "pipe" connection between two blocks, and then an Item Flow is associated with the connector to illustrate the contents of the flow (Fuel or Water), but another Block object is needed to illustrate the actual Pipe (an object I can pick up at the local hardware store). The Connector on the diagram is not an actual object in the model, but just a relationship, but I'm supposedly able to associate a block/ connector property to that Connector, but cannot figure out how.
