Java Code generation -> Documentation at all

Is there any proper documentation how the whole code generation has to be used? My several trials to generate from PIM and PSM to proper Java code has failed. e.g. package statements are not created. import statements are not create even if they are defined in the Generate Dialog …etc. Thank you for any help.
