Diagram Stereotypes
« on: October 27, 2009, 08:20:18 am »
If I right click on a Diagram and select Properties... then, on the General tab, I see a diagram stereotypes drop down list box which is empty.  I can't find anyplace in the help files or online how to populate that listbox.

I'm happy with any way whatsoever for me to put my own values in that stereotype listbox but I have tried the following ways without success so far.  I used the Setttings | UML... | Stereotype creation capability and tried to make stereotypes of diagramframe, diagramgate, and umldiagram.  I have also created my own MDG technology and attempted to make stereotypes that extend my own diagram stereotypes which, in turn, extend metaclass Diagram_Component.

I would appreciate it if someone who knows how to do this would reply here or send and email to me at [email protected].

Thanks in advance for any insight.

In the Settings > UML > Stereotypes dialog, create stereotypes with base class of "diagram".

Thanks, this worked perfect.  It also worked to make a stereotype extension of the metaclass named Diagram.  It would have helped if "Diagram" appeared on the list of options on either the Settings | UML... | Stereotype  | Base Class drop down listbox or the "Create New Metaclass" dialog elements list.  Since it was in neither of those places, I didn't know this class existed to be eligable to give it a stereotype.

Thanks again for the quick replied.  In my case, this was a huge help.
