How to hide own element in connector section (RTF)
« on: February 13, 2010, 12:25:37 am »
Hi,

I already posted a related question here about conditional fileds in RTF template.

The current problem is, I have an element (Requirement) and I want to have other requirements that are related (Dependency relationship) in the RTF doc.

What I tried is to use connector\target\element and source\element. But, the problem is that requirements have dependencies in both directions and using the above method prints out the own element again.

I want to hide elements in the connector section that are equal to the current element.

If you should ask why I have bi-directional depencies: I use it say REQ001 - GPS Configuration is related to REQ123 - GPS Receiver e.g. Now, for the test case spec I print out the system req, its test cases (internal test cases) and its related requirements because I've introduced combined tests which means that one test cases covers multiple (related) requirements.

Thanks!

Hi!

I have the same problem (connector\target\element shows in connector list also the current element). I am using version 7.0. What version of EA are you using?
I was hoping maybe newer version will help...but if you are using newer version, my hope is gone.

I'm afraid I have to disappoint you. I'm using latest Build of 7.5.

But maybe the 8.0 beta is worth a try :)
