Colour printing

Question: Having set up the various object and background colours as I want them on a class diagram; when I print preview the paper back ground is still white even though on the screen it is a pastel purple or green. Have I missed something or is a coloured background not possible?

Hi John,

I believe it's currently not possible.  I believe (I can't be sure since I've asked for SO many things over the years and there's no way to track them once they've landed on planet Sparx) that I asked for this to be changed about a year ago.

If you REALLY need a background, create a full size boundary and colour that...  Kludge, I know, but sometimes needs must.

HTH,
Paolo

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember that there are some options regarding the way diagrams are printed, including something about colors.
Try "Options/Diagram/Appearance/Print in Color" (although I'm not sure if it changes anything to the background.)

Thank you very much for the replies. Unfortuinately the 'print in colour' does not make any difference. I had hoped printing as an HTML would preserve the background colour in the gif but haven't managed to get this working. I think the boundary idea works but how do I get the boundary box a different colour to the class boxes? They are both elements and end up with the default appearance for elements?

Thanks a million! Hee-Haw!! Still think this should be available on the background. User friendly changing of font size and colour enrich the tool so much - where do Ii officially raise a ticket? :-[
