Congratulations to Sparx for getting version 8 out of the door.

Just wondered though - what was added/fixed between beta 3 and the release ? I can't seem to find the release notes

Release notes are there, but there is no indication as to what has been changed since beta3.
Just a whole heap of changes for version 8.

I'd certainly like to know... perhaps they could be posted here?

A quick scan of the official release notes suggested that some bugs I reported years ago have finally got fixed (which I don't think I saw up to Beta 3).

However, if you have Association Classes and move models between repositories or even use the old "export and re-import stripping GUIDs trick" see my posting: 854: Association Classes incorrectly imported to ensure you DON'T have the situations I describe.

Where can I download 8 for registered users? Logged into the registered users section but the following page only lists 7.5:

and the image says 7.5, probably want to fix that

I might drop in the question: is the EA testing team using EA to test the new release?

I wouldn't be surprised if the answer was yes. (And also for a couple of other answers...)
