Table of Content in a RTF template
« on: May 04, 2010, 12:01:16 am »
Hello,

I generate a RTF template with a Table of Content.
My problem is that I'd like to add numbering to the headers. For example :
I) header 1
   1) header 2
        a) header 3

I could'nt find in the help how to do that.
I think I have to create a customised style, but I didn't find how to do it (in fact I can cretae a new style but I can't configure it).

Do you know how to do ?

Thank you

Happy

Hi,

with EA 7.5 you need to do:

Open the rtf template editor to edit your template (using a copy of you template at first highly recommended).

Then set cursor to one the headers in your template where you want to add numbering.

Then select menu->Paragraph->Numbering to activate numbering.

Then select menu->Paragraph->Increase/Decrease Level to adjust the level of numbering.

Repeat the above for all headers where numbering shall be added.

At last, select the table of contents of your template. Delete it and select menu->Insert->Table of Contents to add a new one, with numbering.

This should be all you need to do.

CU,
H.
