Problems with fields in RTF

Hi, I am new to this Forum, and have just acquired v8.0 of EA.

When creating RTF document templates, inserting fields and moving them around within a section is straightforward enough however has anyone ever succeeded in moving fields between sections, or setting document-wide fields (specifically author and version numbers?).  I can't see an obvious way of doing ths but maybe I am missing something.

Any advice gratefully received
