Decoding the audit table and saved XML logs
« on: July 06, 2010, 01:48:00 pm »
Anyone ever manage to interrogate the t_snapshot table or the saved XML logs?

Managed to get the date, but the binContents....  :(

I'm not sure about this at all, but you might want to try and unzip the bincontent.
IIRC they saved the whole model as a zipped binary in that column.

Thanks for that Geert, BinContents1 unzipped straight away (using SharpZipLib) - unfortunately no luck with BinContents2.     :'(

Any suggestions for 2?  It seems very consistent - 1 always decodes, and 2 always exceptions :-(

No, all out of suggestions.
You better ask Sparx Support.

and you know what the answer was?  It wasn't zipped!

Can you believe it ?!  Gotta love consistency ;-)
