Event in State Diagrams
« on: September 22, 2010, 12:32:07 am »
Hello everybody;

aren't events(triggers) in state diagrams supposed to be operations in the class we are modelling?? if so,how come i can't link the triggers to operations but have to define triggers??

please let me know, if i misunderstood something; thanks in advance for you help and consideration.

In UML triggers are separate elements.
They can be linked to operations (of the parent class, or of other elements) however.
First define the trigger, then change the type to "Call". That will allow you to select an operation to link the trigger to.
