How to connect with many projects?
« on: December 22, 2010, 09:28:09 pm »
Hi,

Perhaps you can help me.
Whether the connection with many projects is possible (every project on other base - SQLServer) so that are available in Project browser?

Hi thorgal,

If you are asking:  "Is it possible to reverse engineer more than one database into a repository?"

Then the answer is Yes...

Each database must be in its own package and if you are importing from multiple servers, I would suggest placing each database package into the appropriate Server package.

However, I have recently reported a bug to Sparx where if the same table exists in multiple databases, View dependencies get "confused".

HTH,
Paolo

I guess the question is whether it's possible to have more than one root project (in different DBs) in a single project view. The answer to that is: NO. You can open multiple instances of EA or you can have multiple roots in a single DB. But not from different DBs in on EA instance.
