Group Lock on Packages
« on: January 04, 2011, 12:26:32 am »
I am trying to lock different root packages (including sub packages) for different user groups, so that everyone can't edit everything in our enterprise model.

I have created user groups and added users to them.

However, when I choose "Lock Package" in the root package right-click-popup-menu and then choose "Group lock, locking group may still edit" I can only choose the original group called "Administrators". I would like to choose one of the groups I have created myself here.

What do I do wrong?

rgds,

Niklas

Did you give the new group the rights to lock elements?

Yes, and I found the problem now. I had not granted the original Administrator User (who I was logged in as) the new group identifiers. Apparently it was not allowed to see these groups in the drop down meny containing all available user groups.

thnx for your time, and maybe this will help a fellow in the future!
