Just guessing, but 9.0 is probably just a synonym for 8.1? Or maybe it's a hop to call the next version EA X (pronounce EA Ten) like for MacOS? But EA Ten could easily be read like "eaten"...

Based on all the nice promises I've read in the forum, it could be a bit more then just 8.1 with a different name.

I certainly hope so. :-/

I hope we will see a lot of attention paid to fixing inconsistencies, usability, improving and extending existing functionality, and bug fixes and not just new features.

I'd just settle for fixing inconsistencies, removing bugs and stabilizing the existing functionality.

Long time, no improvement. Still withholding funds.

I agree. I am unable to fully roll out this product in our shop until some of the promised RTF reporting improvements are delivered.
