Showing Parameter Kind on Design Class Diagram

Is there a way to show the parameter kind on the diagram?  Every time I try to add it, it disappears.  Any help would be very appreciated.

What do you mean by parameter kind, and what happens exactly when you say you add it and it disappears?

Maybe Diagram/Features/Show Paramter Details (in the diagram properties) is what you're after.
