Style for notes fields in generated documentation improved.
. Paragraph spacing, alignment and indents.  Font face and size will always be copied from template.
. Font color and styles such as bold or italics can be copied from template if 'Use Style Defined in Templates for notes' is set.

Sorry, but no much improvements in V8 (compared to V7.5 at least) regarding the support of RTF Notes in document generation.

Here is what i observe myself:
  • Everything goes fine as long as the Note contains a single line (ie: no Carriage Return) with no formatting at all: when generating my report, the text of the note is actually the same style as applied to the corresponding field in the template ({Pkg.Notes} for instance).
  • It's a mess in a all other cases: whether you use formatting (italic,  bold), use bullets, or just add a second line.
And I wonder: could the actual view Notes be replaced/implemented with/as part of the RTF editor? That is, essentially:
  • replacing the actual formatting bar, with the on of the RTF editor
  • and thus providing the user with all the styles defined in normal.rtf, without any pain in guessing how to manage them...

That would be SO NICE for us: users.
And real ADDED VALUE to your product, EA folks.

We have a problem with the style defined not being generated for content that comes from notes, so this option would be great - if I got it to work. I second the view that carriage returns are too much for this option to deal with, and this limits the usefullness of the option.

Also we noted a tendency for EA8.0 to crash whenever a template was altered and then run immediately. By default this 'Use style' setting is not on, so selecting it before running heightens our risk of EA crashing every time we generate. Hardly an invitation to use rtf-generation in EA I'd say  :'(

Are we alone in experiencing this instability?
