XMI and unicode

I have exported a package to XMI from a first model (EAP).
When I imported it to another model (MS SQL Server) I see question marks insted of the unicode letters (Mongolian).I see that the XMI file is exported well. When I opened it with Notepad I see the mongolian letters.
Did someone encounter such problem?
I am using EA 7.1
