Version compatibility

I'm an existing EA user v7 corporate I'm interested in purchasing the v9 corporate edition, however I would like to know the compatibility between the versions as I consult in multiple corporate EA environments which all use EA.

Is the v9 client backwards compatible with a v7 database?
Are there significant changes between the schemas that would affect a workaround?

Dennis,

I've been working with version 9 for a couple of months now where all the other users are still on v 7.5.
So far no problems.
Of course the "new" stuff like structured scenario's is not visible for EA 7.5 users.
