Mapping based on a connector
« on: July 12, 2011, 11:53:22 am »
did not get any suggestion of previoous posts on the same

I would like to know how business rules are implemented in UML Modeling using EA. I have set of business rules as requirement type elements. One example is

< 'Transaction Id' must be unique and no transaction with the specified Transaction Id must have already been processed by the system >

I am using  Instruction->Data Element Mapping  kind of appraoch  where multiple instructions make a transaction.

I am creating a mapping diagram between instruciton and data members that will be used for the instruciton. My instruction and data elements noth are info type elements. I am simply using a dependency connector between them but here want to asociate my business rules to this connector as follows-

1 - This business rule should be displayed on diagram on the connector
2 - There should be traceability for the busines rule for connector...

Is this possible ?

Have you read about Business Rules in the EA Help? Do those facilities help you at all?
