How to create a link to a diagram
« on: August 11, 2011, 03:43:09 am »
Hi,

Does anyone know how to create a link to a diagram?
I would like to create hyperlinks to diagrams and use those in a document.

Thanks

Hi Francisp,

Do you mean you want a hyperlink to diagram that is hosted somewhere in your rtf document? If so you should use the "Files" tab on the property sheet of the related element (ie an element that appears in the diagram).

You can obviously add a hyperlink onto your diagram in EA, but the diagram is exported as a graphic into the rtf, so the reader will not be able to click this link; the only solution that i can see would be to put the actual hyperlink in the diagram notes field.

Any help?

Regards,

Jon Ridgway.

Francis,

If you're looking for some way to create hyperlinks outside of EA to diagrams inside of EA look into the free tool EA protocol handler
