Parallel Work

I know that SVN helps to parallel work but, SVN blocks at package level, and I need to work with the same actor in different package and I can´t do it because if one user checks out the package where the actor is, the others users can´t add association to this actor because it is blocked.

I was looking for a solution using REPLICATION, but I don´t if it is the best solution.

Which is the best solution to parallel work using the same actor in different use case diagrams at the same time and all users can add association to this specific actor without restrictions?
