Customer Requirements Properties
« on: December 09, 2011, 04:23:49 am »
Hi

We are using EA for requirements gathering, is there a way we can add custom properties to requirements tab i.e.  currently the properties tab in requirement has "Short Description", Alias, Status, Difficulty, Priority etc, however we need more data fields like "Tier 1 Owner", "Tier 2 Owner", etc..

My question: Is it possible to do this in EA and if so how.

Cheers

Sounds like "Tagged values" is what you are looking for.

Absolutely! Tagged values are the way to go!

Even better, create a stereotyped requirement in a profile which contain the tagged values, and then the bespoke requirement is available and tagged values can be applied retrospectively

Saves added all the tags one-by-one to every requirement!

Thank you both,

Where can I find more information on creation of steriotype requirements and other functions related to steriotype requirements such as quring linking reporting, validation etc.

You should consider writing an MDG so you can create stereotyped elements along with their respective tags. A little tutorial can be found here.
