Requirements – managing multiple business reviews

Hi,

We have an internal project that will have 1000's of functional requirements from multiple business units. We are buying applications not building software, so its all about requirements management, traceability to and from benefits, processes, requirements, testing etc.  We really need the ability to handle multiple concurrent reviews where timely responses will be necessary. Ideally, business units would be receiving targeted requirements documentation for comment and approval, which would be centrally collected and reviewed by business analysts. Being able to view and action multiple "streams" of reviews per document or section etc would be ideal. Its beyond the tracking changes capabilities of word as we don’t have time to pass it around each person one at a time to collect their comments.

There are other requirements managements products on the market that are focused on the business end rather than the software side and can handle this simultaneous review approach, however since we already have an investment in E.A we would prefer to use as few tools as possible.

Does anyone have any advice, e.g.:
- know of an E.A plug-in
- know of integration to another product
- solved this another way?
