Access one project with different EA versions?
« on: November 10, 2011, 07:40:31 pm »
Hello everyone,

is it safe to access the same project (file or database) using different EA version like 7.5 and 9.1? Or might the newer version modify the project in a way that prevents older versions of EA from accessing it?

Kind regards,
Tom

Mostly that's OK.
Only in some instances certain information is not available in the older version. (like structured scenario's)

We had a customer experiencing difficulties in how a diagram is drawn when opening first with EA 7.5, then with 9.0. I don't know, if it was a special issue, but they said, the positions of some objects get modified.
