How to attach a diagram to a UML class
« on: January 06, 2012, 05:06:08 am »
I would like to know how to attach a diagram (e.g., JPEG, Visio, clip board contents) and text to a Class in a UML Class Diagram.

Check the Appearance context menu: Alternate Image.

Yes, I see that this lets you replace the class object with some other image. I apologize I was not clear on my request. What I want to do is associate a diagram and also text files with the Class object so that a Word document could be auto-generated from the UML (i.e., from the EAP file) using a third party tool which we have developed. The idea is to capture all the necessary information in UML to auto-generate a specification as a Word document.

I guess in that case you'll want to to use either the "linked document" feature, or just add links to the files via the "files" tab
