Error - Modeling an ArcGIS geodatabase with EA
« on: January 17, 2012, 12:15:43 am »
Hello,
I'm going to use Enterprise Architect to create an ArcGIS geodatabase. Before that I tried to practice on a tutorial (http://www.sparxsystems.com/resources/demos/arcgis/arcgis-ea-intro.htm).
Im following it step by step, but at the end (while importing the XML workspace document to ArcCatalog 10) an error occured: "Import xml data failed, FDO Error -2147186428 {Line: 364, column: 23]
When I looked into the source code of the generated xml file I found that the line 364 presents ending text of the WorkspaceDefinition.

I would be very gratefull if you could give me some advices and help to solve this problem.

Im just following the tutorial. So I exported my project from EA using Extensions-->ArcGIS-->Export to ArcGIS Workspace XML. And then I tried to import the xml file (the result of the export process) to ArcGIS

If so you should report that as a bug to Sparx.

I did it. And that's what they answered me

Unfortunately we cannot provide any schedule for this issue to be
resolved as yet. If you wish to request the status of this issue at a
later time, please quote the above reference number in your enquiry.

I was hoping that maybe someone else had the same problem and thats why I decide to write about it here also..

Maybe you could see the xml file which I exported from EA and check it?
