managing UML stereotypes
« on: February 29, 2012, 04:46:42 am »
Hi,

So looks like a Stereotype overload since EA will accept any stereotype being input into the dropdown that its now hard to know which ones are the "right ones" i.e. the ones we have defined UML profiles for and/or intend to standardize on.

Any way to...
a) tell which stereotypes have been manually created
b) reload the out of the box EA set
c) lock it down so that new stereotypes cannot be created on the fly by inputting whatever into the stereotype box?

a) They have a simplistic (and I DO mean simplistic - not simple) Notes description (duplicate of the name).
b) Export the base set from a base model and import using Reference Data import... (Location in menus varies by EA version)
c) Cayn't bee durn (AFAIK)

Put in a feature request...

Yeah,

Same problem here.
I have been working on an add-in to solve that a while ago, but I got distracted and went on to more pressing things.
The idea of the add-in was to prevent new stereotypes to be added when saving elements.
