Importing Supporting Documentation into Sparx
« on: May 17, 2012, 08:45:40 pm »
Hello,
As part of our project process, we are planning to create documents manually, initially. Once a project is approved and funded, then we would produce outline designs and get those approved before putting the hours in inside Sparx EA to model what we are doing and generate the end-to-end design - this seems to be the most pragmatic approach.
To support this work, it would be very useful if we could import the documents into Sparx, inside the project folder.
How can documents (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Project etc.) be loaded into Sparx as 'supporting documentation' ?

Regards
Joe

Hi,

within a package you have the ability to use Artifacts. Artifcats can be any kind of document you want to use. It is possible to add documents as-they-are (direct copy) or you may link to them as hyperlink...

When you look into the community you will find a little script for bulk importing of files.

Greetings
