Windows 7 64 bit Compatibility

Hello all,

I want to ask about EA compatibility on Windows 7 64 bit.
Company where I work for now is planning to move to Win7 64 bit.
Our EA version is 8.0.862.
We also have several Add-Ins which we built by ourselves.
Does this EA (all features and Add-In) can work properly on Win7 64 bit?

8.0 is getting old already, so I would suggest to upgrade anyway, but I don't think there are any 64 bit compatibility issues. (it just runs in 32 bit)

I'm using 9.3 (10 beta), but as Geert mentioned Version 8.x shouldn't give any problems either.

Enterprise Architect 8 and above have been tested under Windows 7 64-bit edition without any issues.  EA is a 32-bit application but automatically runs under a compatibility mode with the 64-bit edition of Windows 7.

I had a problem setting up Version Control Settings with Subversion and  EA9.3 on win7 64bit pc.
In particular if I copy svn.exe command line client in "C:\Program Files (x86)\" directory and I select "Subversion Exe Path" accordingly, when I try to Save, EA stucks until the connection timeout.

Another issue regards ODBC Drivers version to connect to an RDBMS EA Project.
I experienced that with an EA project on MySQL DBMS you have to use 32bit ODBC Drivers on a win7 64bit pc.
The trick is that if you want to create the "User DSN" to set the db connection using those drivers you have to run C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe instead of default ODBC window in control panel
