Hide/Show Activity Box or Intermediate Event

Does any one know how to hide and then show an activity box or an intermediate event on a diagram? We would like to produce different diagrams for different audiences that include or exclude certain activities and intermediate events. Don't want to do separate diagrams as we would lose all the requirements and and many activities linked/traced to the diagram.
