Old and new Version of EA co-exist?
« on: December 14, 2012, 07:37:56 am »
Is there any problem with installing the new EA without uninstalling the old version? It would be useful to get familiar with the new version without getting rid of the old one.

When you install V10 it automatically uninstalls the previous version. I'm using an apple Mac with Wine so I've created another Wine Environment to be able to run both for a while whilst I test out V10.

Happy to help

Rename the EA folder in your program files, then install the new version.
If you want to switch to the old version again you just need to rename the folders and start EA.

EA uses different keys in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sparx Systems\EA400\EA
So you're save.
