Sequence Diagram Not Allowing for Component Reuse
« on: January 04, 2013, 05:52:09 am »
I've upgraded to version 10 and am working on a sequence diagram.  In prior versions, when I would drag an existing component onto the sequence diagram, it would prompt me to determine if this was a "link" or "new" component.  Now, it no longer asks that question and simply creates a copy of the component in the sequence diagram's package folder with a colon (:) before the name of lifeline.  For example, if I have a component named "SystemA" and drag it onto the diagram, it creates a new component with a name of ":SystemA". How do I go back to the behavior found in prior versions?

Thanks...Jim

This 'new' behaviour looks like a bugfix. In a sequence diagram you should work with instances and not with classes. The colon prefix indicates that an instance of the class is created.
