View alias in project browser
« on: March 23, 2013, 01:00:39 am »
Hi all! I am using the alias field to enter my own elements' IDs. This is very helpful, especially in combination with the "Show alias if available" option on diagrams. However, it seems like it is impossible to show the alias of an element in the project browser. Well, yes there are workaround (like pinning the properties view and activating each single element in the browser). Another workaround would be, copying the alias into the element name - but this workaround interferes with the idea of separating name and alias (ID). But for manual element sorting (or rearranging the order of elements) in the browser with a sort order based on the alias, it would be of great relieve to be able to visualize the alias. Any hint or ideas? Many thanks in advance, Norman

I don't beleive it is possible - but sounds like a good feature request...

I'd certainly vote for this one.
