Relationship Matrix - save as file type
« on: June 17, 2013, 06:16:36 pm »
I want to embed a relationship matrix diagram into a report, but the options provided are not appropriate.  I have tried to amend the template to use the Relationship Matrix fields, but this doesn't import the image (even though I have selected Matrix.Image).   Is there a way of embedding the diagram or producing a pdf?

I  assume you have you set the template to include:
package >
relationship matrix >
{Matrix.Image}
< relationship matrix
This should return a Matrix profile that you have saved in the Resources area - have you checked this was saved?
Alternatively you can save the RM as an image - store it in a Element or Package's Linked Document - then use the Linked Document section to report this.

Thanks for the reply.  My template does now work (although the image is tiny!).  I'll look at the other options for saving the image separately.

Hi there

I have a similar problem. I've been able to add a relationship matrix to a document but can only get it to display one matrix.

However, if I have two matrices (e.g. use cases to requirements and use cases to business rules) only the first is displayed in the document. Both matrices are saved as profiles in my resource browser.

Yes, the feature was only designed to include one.

Which is a bit of a constraint wouldn't you say?
