Is database engineering included in EA pro v. 9.3?
« on: June 03, 2013, 08:45:25 pm »
Silly question, I have:

Registered Enterprise Architect (Professional Edition). Program Version: 9.3.934 (Build: 934) - Unicode

I remember being able to import tables through ODBC, etc. But I can't for the life of me find that option anywhere ;)

I create a Data Model, I have a working ODBC, but I cannot find the Import tables from ODBC anymore. Reading the manual, I should be able to find it under Code engineering. But I only have Import from source files. etc.

The following url suggests to me that it should be included (Database engineering)
http://www.sparxsystems.com/products/ea/index.html -> Compare versions.

Kind regards, Ray

Should be under Tools/Database Engineering.

I have a Corporate license.

It's possible you have selected a Command Set which hides these menu items.

See:
http://www.sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/10/getting_started/customize_command_sets.html

Open: View | Workspaces and Commands > Commands.

Select the "Complete" command set.

Sorry for the delayed reply, I didn't receive any notification that there were replies! But thanks, selecting the "Complete" command set fixed it for me, and Database engineering became visible..

So thanks a lot! :)
