how do I group Elements by Diagrams in RTF?
« on: July 06, 2013, 04:14:50 am »
I'm using EA for the first time, and am trying to create screen design documentation.
I have a template that lists:
  • Each Diagram (screen)
  • Each Element (text), with a hierarchy of parent/child Elements
Is it possible to change this to be:
  • Each Diagram (screen)
    • Elements of Diagram listed beneath the Diagram they are in?
Thanks!

See http://www.sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/10/reporting/document_options.html
Document Each Contained Element in RTF
but note there is a known bug -

When selecting diagram option "exclude image" and "Document each
contained element"  the RTF elements not show.

When this combination of "RTF document options" is selected the elements on the diagram should be generated into the report, but the diagram should, not.
Orthogonality rules
Position and Team disestablished, thanks austerity.
Now itinerant.

does this answer your goal:

I think you were trying to do the same thing I was - I got distracted by custom SQl and template fragments, so see my last update, hope it helps
