Copy and Paste Diagram - retain formatting
« on: October 24, 2013, 06:35:34 am »
Hello everyone,

To show Current State and Target State on two separate diagrams, I tried to copy the current state diagram and paste it into the target state.  The changes are in some specific areas, so it would be easier to use the Current State as the starting point.

But the formatting got all messed up and I spent a lot of time getting the diagram back in order.

Is there a way to do this in EA i.e. retain formatting.

Thanks,
Bobby

It usually retains formatting. But you have to save the diagram before using the copy operation!

Thanks qwerty, so it does.  Not sure how I missed it.  It seems to be working fine.

Much appreciated.

It's not obvious since you see the layout clearly while you miss the highlighted diskette symbol indicating outstanding saving. Anyhow, EA should copy the current layout which you see, not the one which had been saved some time ago. I'd call that a bug. Since I'm sick of reporting bugs, would you take over that part?
