Can't Link to Requirements from element Properties

Hi, 2 qus...
1) Is there a reason why it isn't possible to link to requirements from the Requirements page in the element Properties dialog.
I understand how to use the Relationship Matrix.
Seems to me more logical to add the Requirement links as you are building the various models link the Use Case Diagram and the Process Models (for example), rather than build the Relationship Matrix separately.

2) Also the links that I build in the Relationships matrix appear in the element Properties dialog under Related/Links, not under Rules/Requirements.  This seems strange!
It seems that the Rules/Requirements area is only for typing in requirements...

The requirements you see in the properties are "internal" and not real elements. You may externalize these internal ones to make them real elements. There was an old thread were a new name was suggested for there "internal requirement" but I can't recall which that was.

They used to sometimes be called responsibilities.
