backward compatibility EA 11
« on: July 07, 2014, 06:25:53 pm »
Hi,
is it possible to connect an EA 11 client to a a EA 10 server?
If it's not possible, is it possible at least to import a package developed with the 11 to a model developed with the 10?
Thanks.

What do you mean by "EA V10 server"? Only the clients have a version. If you mean that you want to connect to a RDBMS created with V10 clients via V11 clients then you can go along.

OK i explain better my configuration.
I have a RDBMS created with V10 and several cliente that modify it via V10. Can i connect to the Database with my V11 and modifying it?
The metamodel between V10 and V11 didn't cvhange?
There is not possibility to corrupt the model?

The only issue you may have is if you create something that is only in V11 like dashboards then any V10 clients won't be able to render it. Other than that it should be okay.
Happy to help
