Empty space in diagram when exporting
« on: September 18, 2014, 07:27:12 am »
Hi there

I'm trying to export diagrams from EA using SysML 1.2 technology. For some reason when exporting quite a lot of empty space is left in the picture of the the diagram, which is of no use.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem? And is there a  fix to it?

An example of the problem. Just that the empty space is usually way bigger.

Cheers
Rasmus

Hi Rasmus, there were some recent discussions about additional space being exported. Maybe you're lucky finding them via the Search button top left. Else try the Google Sparx group which holds a shadow of this forum (and which finds faster and more accurate).

I remember that issue: It was caused by EA mis-calculating the size of floating text labels in some circumstances. A change went through code review a while back but I don't know if it has made it into a release yet. (And, of course, I don't know what version of EA the OP is using)

Maybe a fix has been released, i dont know really. I am using EA version 9.2.

I found a workaround though. Saving the images through the ctrl+T command solved the problem for me. Even though all other methods creates whitespace, ctrl+T havne't done it yet.

In case anyone is lost in the same annoying problem, you can try this.

Thx for replying both of you :)
