Auto-naming feature in a shared model in SVN
« on: October 25, 2014, 02:54:56 am »
We've set up a shared model in SVN using XML files for each package in the model, auto-named by EA using package GUIDs. The .eap file is also checked in. How does the auto-naming feature work, i.e. how is the next available number propagated to all team members? If for example two users add a new auto numbered Requirement element to the model, how are the numbers allocated so that they don't collide?

It probably won't work if you have distribute EAP files. That will only work correctly for a single central database.
