RAS: Register MDG Technology: Status unavailable
« on: December 03, 2014, 11:08:21 pm »
Hi,

I am trying to register a Technology in a RAS Registry as follows:
1) I created a Diagram with the specific Technology
2) When I register the package the "Register the following MDG Technology" dialog appears (Path http://)
3) I confirm with "ok" but unfortunately the Registry Status is listed as "Unavailable"
4) When another user imports the package the MDG Technology is not available

How do i correctly register MDG Technologies (with source http) with RAS?

Thanks a lot

Hi,

I came across the same issue and it works when you use a remote MDG (stored in a "shared" XML file) -> when you import the models from RAS in a client EA project, the MDG is installed with the same path to the MDG (works if the XML is on a url or shared drive that is visible on the local PC).

It would have been nice to use relative paths as set in Tools > Local Directories & Paths, however it doesn't seem possible to link an MDG to the XML via a relative path e.g. %MDG%/mdg.xml
