SYSML Model Simulation: Using Composites
« on: July 16, 2014, 08:01:12 am »
Hi,

I created a model simulation of a state diagram. One of the states is a composite and I came to the realization that if the activities in the composite diagram were not located below the state in the project browser (eg. if they  were in another package), then the composite diagram was not simulated. Is there a way to get around this hindrance? The project browser has been organised to follow company format and it would benefit everyone if the format was kept that way.

Hello,

I've raised the same issue with Sparx regarding the location of elements being ued in a simulation.

I believe that this is a bug. This is a major Gotcha when trying to build a simulation, as it requires elements to be sub-ordinate(child) of any elements being used in the simulaton you build. I can't confirm if this is the same for BPMN, but for UML activity, this is what I've witnessed.
