Updating Attributes

I need some help updating the attributes of a sterotype in a UML profile.
I am creating the UML profile for the purpose of creating a meta-model.

my question:

is there a way to update the number of attributes ( for a sterotype of a profile ) and to have the new attributes reflect in older classes that were previously created from the original sterotype?

Right click on the element in the toolbox and choose synchronize stereotype.
