Enterprise architect not working with php 5.4!
« on: March 31, 2015, 09:59:39 am »
In php 5.4 added new syntax construction [] which is equal to array(), but EA doesn't support 5.4, only 5.3. So all my source files containing [] fail to import :( .

What should I do?

Contact Sparx Support if you haven't already.

While we may not already support 5.4, that doesn't mean we never will. Often with parsing related issues we are able to provide an MDG technology that will patch the parser with the new syntax. It's not guaranteed we will be able to though.

Doesn't surprise me.

Between all the programming languages, databases, modeling languages, other specifications and tools that we integrate with it feels like there's a new version every second day...

Even worse: many languages have incompatible versions. Sometimes you might think that two versions represent completely different languages :-(
