Diagram Filters changing the colour of Elements

I know about the normal use of filters being able to hide or grey elements depending on certain attributes.

What I would like to be able to do is set an attribute or a tag, that indicates if the element is New, Modified or Existing, then have a filter that can be applied dependent on this attribute an colour the element according.

New items would be Green, Modified would be Amber, Existing would be the default, for example

Then if I changed the attribute, the colour would automatically change.

I don't think filtering works on tags currently, but there is no way that I can see to set colours.

I would also want to be able to search the model for 'Modified' elements, so the attribute as multiple purposes.

Any ideas ?

Two problems.

1. Diagram Filters don't do colors
2. Diagram Filters don't do tags.

The only way to do what you want at the moment is to define a shape script.

It seems from other recent posts that being able to use filters to set shape colours dependent on attributes would be a valuable addition. Particularly if it could use tags as well !

Any chance of adding this to the wish list ?

I will look into shape scripts but I don't have any experience of these, so don't know where to start.
