Where Best to Install WAN Optimizer

Assuming 10 or less users on the same subnet, any issues with installing on the key server? on the DBMS server? Would your recommendation change if user count grows to 20?

Curious what others have done.

Hello,

On the same subnet, you should not use the WAN Optimizer. I think it may cause bad performance. The WAN Optimizer is for disributed use, slow and narrow network connection.

I think the Cloud server is much better than the WAN Optimizer, the Cloud server offers not only the same feature as the WAN Optimizer, but offers more useful features.

There's a difference between your title (WAN Optimizer) and your body (license server).

WAN optimizer should only be used for WAN, not LAN

You License server can be installed on the database server without a problem, even for hundreds of users. It is a very small application that only now and then needs to do something.
It hardly uses any CPU or network bandwidth.
