Project Transfer and Security
« on: August 27, 2015, 09:08:11 pm »
I have been able to do project transfers in the past but with security enabled I get a prompt to enter "Login to EA Repository" and enter "User ID" and "Password".  I enter the user ID and Password for the database (on the server) but the system says I have incorrect credentials.

This is a known bug - apparently caused by the changes to password security between version 9 and v12.

If you search the forum in the last couple of weeks you'll see my posting on it.

It seems they missed one in the change over.

Please report a bug (as I did).

Paolo

Workaround: turn off security in the target database before transferring.

I thought it was an issue with the security for the model on the server, but it turns out it was the local .eap file that I was trying to write to.  I removed security on the destination file as you said and it solved the problem.
