postgres repository needs speed up

hi,
working with postgres repository (client machines about 2GHz 256 MB RAM, postgres server 2GHz 1GB RAM) is
very slow ... maybe there is some space left for optimalisation (some indexes? some queries replacements?).

We are using repository for project with 90 diagrams with 1072 attributes (right now) and 1030 operations

changing atribites position on attributes list takes more than second and anythig else (opening attributes list , moving classes, creating associations, etc.) is even slower
