Better text features for HTML exporting
« on: September 17, 2004, 08:13:30 am »
In the "Notes" section of every object (when you double click to see its properties) , it is possible to enter text describing whatever is needed, but it's plain text.

It would be a great enhancement if we were able to used a better text editor for Notes, where we can use: tables,  change font , underlines, bolds , use images, and so on.
And later apply this format in the HTML pages when exporting.

The point is to add capabilities of a better editor to HTML exporting.

1) I don't want to attach a document, because I'm unable to see it when exporting to HTML in a Web Site. (the real path keeps hardcoded and it's not converted to a virtual path and the document its not moved or copied).

2)If I could see the contents of the document attached in the HTML pages when exported it would be really great!.But it must be in the center of the generated page. This is another option.

3) It's possible to use a Rich Text Box Editor or something like this, well, you know what to do......

Thanks in advance....

Hi Thomas:
Yes, exactly, I'm looking for the same features with the only difference that I'm also adding the "Notes" textbox for every object.
As you explained in the other post, I'm already adding the tags letting the preprocessor do its job and it's a solution, but it would be pretty nice to have this feature.

The point is that sometimes I have to show the diagrams and documentation generated by EA  to our customers, and they see documentation with good guality except for the "Notes" and the other parts mentioned in the other posts.

Thanks...
